What is a deepening practice? Is it not anything that takes you beyond where you have been before, into your unknown, where you have to dig to find an answer from only within yourself? Can this be seen clearly? For if we/I go outside ourselves, have we not aborted the personal deepening?... and opted for instead, an external support to give us 'the answer'.
I am seeing that my full maturity requires I walk exactly true to my Self.... that most whole and holy core of my being. Anything less, while never 'wrong', can also be said to slow the full ripening of the fruit called 'my life's purpose manifesting'.
Many times I have had the intentional desire to slow this ripening, to prolong it, so that certain (younger) life-stages would be extended and so that I could continue to revel in them. That was usual...before I could hear the call, the amazing and promising call... the vision of my own spiritual maturity.
And in hearing that call, I have the strong sense that to truly yield to it fully is the great 'ego-death'.... which is of course, my ego's greatest fear. For beyond it, it cannot see.
But my heart can. But differently. As in 'feelings and knowings without form'. It is this journey that I sense calls me to 'the highest adventure'. For in it I see and feel the possibility of 'being-one-with' a Self beyond my ego's wildest imaginings, and also.... the total entirety of Existence.
